Ø The Bible will be our sole authority, sufficient in all areas of church life.

Ø The Bible will be our primary tool in affirming God’s will for our lives and for our Church.

Ø We will faithfully preach and teach the Word of God.

Prayer  Philippians 4:6

Ø We believe prayer to be the foundation of everything we do.

Ø Prayer will be taught, modeled and practiced in all that we do.

Ø Prayer will always be the first step.

Evangelism/Missions  Acts 1:8

Ø Evangelism and Missions are the means of continuing Jesus’ mission on earth.

Ø We will be intentionally and unapologetically evangelistic for Jesus Christ.

Ø We will develop partnership missions throughout the world.

Discipleship  Matthew 28:18-20

Ø We will equip each member to develop spiritual disciplines such as prayer and Bible study.

Ø The truth of God’s Word transforms our lives and we will help each member develop into a Christ-like disciple.

Ø We will provide good materials and resources for our discipleship opportunities.

Fellowship   Acts 2:46 

Ø We will value our unity as the Body of Christ.

Ø Our fellowship will always be intentionally evangelistic.

Ø We will encourage regular times of fellowship (koinonia) as a church family to strengthen our relationships.

Worship  1 Corinthians 10:31

Ø We will magnify the Lord in all aspects of church life.

Ø Our worship will be relevant and true to the Word of God.

Ø We will plan and implement worship that is exciting and will glorify Christ.

Ministry   Ephesians 4:12

Ø We believe the fruit of a transformed life in Christ is service.

Ø We will help every member discover and put into practice their spiritual gift(s) and also understand their personality type (who God made them).

Ø Ministry is the responsibility of every member of the Fairview Baptist Church.

Stewardship  Acts 4:32  James 1:17 

Ø Stewardship is the proper management of all God has blessed us with to expand His kingdom.

Ø We expect all the members of Fairview Baptist Church to practice the Biblical model of tithing.

Ø Stewardship education will be provided regularly for the membership of Fairview Baptist Church.

Leadership  Exodus 18:19-22

Ø We will develop leaders who are Kingdom focused and passionate about winning the world for Christ.

Ø Accountability is expected in all areas of ministry and life.

Ø We will provide leadership training opportunities on a regular basis.

Commitment to Excellence   Colossians 3:17

Ø We will do all things as “unto the Lord”.

Ø We will be culturally relevant while maintaining scriptural integrity.

Ø According to the Scriptures Christ demands our very best efforts.
